About Me:
I have always lived in New Hampshire and have a deep appreciation of the beauty in nature. My grandfather was an artist and photographer. I was constantly drawing when I was a child and always knew I wanted to be an artist when I grew up. I was thrilled to get my first easel and artist paints when I was in my teens!
I have also found many other ways to explore and express my creativity. I have painted murals on my childrens' bedroom walls, I designed program covers for the music ministry I was a part of. I designed and made clothes for family, made wooden spool dolls with hand painted character faces, painted animals and flowers on furniture, and painted scenes on wooden items.
About My Art:
For me, there is nothing like putting a brush to canvas and trying to express what I see and feel. I try to tell a story on canvas, setting a scene and describing the feeling of being in that scene. In my landscape, seascape, and garden paintings, I try to invite you into the painting ...to sit a while and enjoy the view. In my animal and wildlife paintings, I try to capture the character and attitude of the animal. While other paintings are just for fun! I still want to be an artist when I grow up, and hope to be able to devote myself to painting and art full-time one day. I have so much to learn and so many things to paint! Thank you for your interest in my art!
